Editorial mission
Independent. Comprehensive. Honest.
World's Top Schools is an independent editorial guide to the world's most consequential schools. We are not a marketing platform. We do not sell placements. Our reviewers visit, interview, and read — then write.
Our directory covers 1,591 schools across 82 countries. Each profile includes an in-depth editorial verdict, transparent fees, verified data, and a fair set of pros and cons. Families compare using our side-by-side tool; schools may claim their listing to correct facts and respond to parents.
We take no advertising from listed schools. Our income comes from readers and licensing our editorial to publishing partners.
The full argument for why this work matters — with the growth economics, the innovation research and the natural experiments — is set out in our flagship essay: Why We All Need The World's Best Schools, And How This Ranking Supports Them.
